The San Diego-based Next Space Development Realty Inc. (“Next Space”) was founded in 2014 by Rudy Medina and Richard Simis. The company specializes in coastal infill residential and mix-use development projects throughout San Diego County. Utilizing a combined 60 years of owning, developing and managing properties Next Space has completed approximately $1 billion of in-house and third party development projects.
Next Space is currently focused on existing and proposed multi-family properties in the in-fill coastal core, “A” rated locations for residential and mixed-use development opportunities. We currently have 2 mixed-use projects and 1 residential multifamily project under development in Point Loma.
Keeping in tune with their specialization, Next Space is actively seeking to purchase existing and proposed multifamily sites throughout Southern California. We would consider a ground up development opportunity, redevelopment opportunity, or an opportunity that requires the management and stabilization of an existing asset.
In addition to the “A” rated coastal locations, Next Space has found value-ad opportunities in San Diego’s redeveloping urban infill communities. With vast experience in infill entitlements, land-use, zoning, permitting, and the city and development processes, we are able to decipher the opportunity in a wide variety of real estate ventures.
Next Space Development is actively seeking new opportunities and partners to invest with us. We are a proven team of professionals with over 60 years of combined experience in all aspects of development, entitlement, rehab, ownership, property management and construction. Our partners invest using personal funds, family offices, select high net worth individuals, and private institutions.
We welcome new investors either through direct investment or joint venture possibilities. If you have a property that you would like us to underwrite for possible development or rehab, please call us. We have a history of working with property owners of multi-family units, land, retail centers, and infill locations, and have been able to create untapped financial wealth in under-utilized properties.
